Across the U.S. over half of the K-12 student population are students of color and for educators that will serve in urban or culturally diverse communities, students of color can make up 70-100% of the population.

“Ready for Diversity in Education” is an entertaining combination of educational theory along with the best teaching strategies for diverse communities future educators must be prepared for!

As a result of this program, students will learn:

• how to spark engagement among different types of learners 
• avoiding common mistakes made by new teachers in urban/culturally diverse settings
• how to motivate students from different backgrounds and promote student success

Believe it or not, one of the biggest predictors of student happiness and success is their ability to connect to others. Human beings are hardwired for connection - however, we are in a time where being disconnected is almost the norm. One research study found that out of 50,000+ college students, over 60% felt very lonely on a daily basis. 

But how do we successfully connect with others in a world that becomes more diverse day by day? How do we learn to problem-solve with people who view the world in a different way than we do or come from a different background? Moreover, what can we do to reap the benefits of human connection when technology is the preferred medium of choice? 

College, Connection and Culture teaches students the strategies needed to be self-reflective and create a more inclusive environment for all students. 

As a result of this program, students will learn: 

• building a network in a diverse world is a skill that can be developed with the right strategies and mindset. 
• why leveraging the power of connection can reduce stress and build confidence
• why it’s not about who you know, but who you can connect with in a diverse world 
• the interpersonal skills necessary to become absolutely magnetic

This program is a breakdown of the fundamental principles that have guided the most phenomenal achievements in college and beyond. Record of Success teaches students timeless principles needed to increase confidence, manage their time, stay resilient through the most rigorous academic challenges and approach their college career with passion and purpose. 

The road to success is not always clear, so this program was designed to erase bad habits (some that students may not even be aware of), instill motivation and build unstoppable momentum. Students should brace themselves as exposure to these ideas can fundamentally change their lives as they know it!
